ACCOMMODATION: This deluxe Art Deco building has been meticulously restored to its former glory. Much of the interior was preserved, including the weighty chandeliers, the rich Italian marble and the creamy "milk glass" seen throughout the hotel. Within are 211 luxurious, airy rooms and suites with high ceilings and classic period furnishings. Among the first-class facilities are air-conditioning, a safe, a minibar, three telephones, a trouser press, fax and PC connections, in-room movies and a state of the art, on-line, in-room entertainment system, providing Internet access and video games for every guest. The spacious marble bathrooms are fitted with a vanity mirror, a hairdryer and a scale. There are also nonsmoking rooms and special rooms for disabled guests.
