The 4 star Hotel Friheden, situated in the town of Sandkås, is an absolute treasure and an ideal starting point for your holiday. The varied Northern coast line of Bornholm is one of a kind.

Lovely paths along the beach and through woods take you to the towns of Allinge and Sandvig – an opportunity to explore the distinct nature of the island.

ACCOMMODATION

The hotel has 40 double and 8 single rooms. Each room has a mini kitchen, refrigerator and bathroom with shower, toilet and heated floor. Telephone, radio and satellite TV is standard. The double rooms are 28 m2 with private balcony / terrace with garden furniture. Budget double rooms are 18m2 with queen-size beds and access to external gallery

HOTEL AMENITIES & SERVICES

All hotel guests have free access to the swimming pool. The pool is heated to 25-26 degrees during hotel opening hours. There are separate changing rooms at the swimming pool. The sauna is free. Table tennis in the basement by the swimming pool is free. Bats and balls are available in the reception. Tokens for sun beds and jacuzzi can be bought in the reception.

The hotel has 20 bikes. The bikes are city bikes with 3-5 gears and most are fitted with a handlebar basket. We have a few children’s bicycles and you may hire a child seat.

The hotel restaurant is placed in the main building and has a panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. The hotel’s cosy café offers a wide range of coffees, cakes, drinks and draught beer – we serve beer, brewed locally at Svaneke Bryghus. You will also find the day’s paper and a variety of games at your disposal. Every evening between 9 and 10 PM is happy hour with draught beer and drinks at good prices.
