HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is housed in a premise of rich tradition where old and new architecture meet harmoniously. The foundation stone of the building was laid in 1917 and today various parts of it are protected by the Helsinki City Museum, including some beautiful painted glass windows.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel has 291 rooms. All the rooms are air conditioned and equipped with amenities expected of a first class hotel. To guarantee a good night's sleep all the rooms feature top quality Magic Dreams beds, designed exclusively for Radisson Blu. The entire hotel features wireless WLAN Internet connection to help you stay in touch with home or the head office. The wireless internet access is available for all our guests free of charge. Most of our rooms are non-smoking, we also have rooms for disabled upon request.
HOTEL FACILITIES: Restaurant Pääkonttori: Experiences for the senses - more than a restaurant Seven different rooms with seven different atmospheres create the unique world of the restaurant Pääkonttori. Pääkonttori is a perfect place for unforgettable events from conventions and corporate events to weddings and private celebrations. It accommodates up to 500 guests in a cocktail party, 350 at dinner. Bar: The central location of the hotel has made the Pääkonttori Lounge bar a popular after-work rendezvous spot for a hot cappuccino, cold beer or cocktail. The clientele is a blend of locals and international hotel guests. Coffee Bar by Coffee House: We have opened a new Coffee Bar in our lobby. Coffee Bar is open 24/7, which means that you may enjoy coffee, tea, wine, beer, cider, juice, sandwiches or delicacies whenever you feel like it (alcohol is served within the official serving time, following the opening hours of the hotel restaurant). Serve yourself and pay at the reception, enjoy in the lobby or take away. The central location of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel makes it the ideal venue for small-scale events. Conveniently located next to the central railway station, the hotel is easily accessible for local, national and international delegates. For meeting organizers we offer five conference rooms that can be arranged in different combinations and styles. The largest meeting room accommodates up to 80 guests in theatre style. The elegant Boardroom for up to 20 delegates is perfect for more intimate meetings while the Juho's Parlour with its painted glass windows offers a marvellous setting for a private function. The Balcony above the main restaurant is a popular venue for workshops and small exhibitions. All meeting rooms are equipped with the basic audiovisual technology including data projector and wireless Internet access.
