Our
romantic hotel was built for 1847 by the architect Ferdinand Hessian
for the Prussia King Friedrich William IVTH as gift for its homesickness-ill
wife Elizabeth, Princess von Bayern. After the death of Elizabeth,
princess von Bayern, and the fall of the Hohenzollerndynastie became
the house a popular trip goal. Starting from 1939 it served as officers
mess for the armed forces and the later Russian occupation troops.
Afterwards the house in the former GDR was re-designed as training
centre for starbeiter. To the guesthouse of the SED semidirect line
Potsdam converted, it was finally hermetically blocked. Between
1986 and 1989 the main cultivation was established. After the turn
1990 the object was placed under monument protection and came as
hotel and restoration enterprise under the administration of the
trust. Only in the year 2000 the object was sold by the trust successor
organization "Federal Institution for combination-caused special
tasks" and transferred into the Bavarian house tourism GmbH.
Until May 2001 the houses were complex reorganized and converted
for an elevated hotel.
"Potsdam
new center lies a little outside" in the midst of the romantic
Potsdamer game park. Here Prussia king Friedrich William IVTH for
his wife Elizabeth, princess von Bayern, who "Bavarian house",
built 1847, which is today with its neighboring houses Gourmetrestaurant
