wood, colours are muted with earthy tones in keeping with
the natural finish. Modern pictures abstractly display the
city's famous landmark, the Cologne Cathedral, in every room.
Those who want to enjoy views of the original should ask for
a room with a view of the cathedral. When it comes to functionality
and technical equipment, the latest insights into the needs
of business travellers have been taken into consideration
in the design. There is a large, multifunctional desk in every
room, which can be moved easily to either face the room or

DININGS & BARS: The
unique lifestyle of the InterContinental Cologne is reflected
in its first-class food and beverage concept. Be it the trendy
Harry's New-York Bar, the lively Lobby Lounge, the modern
Maulbeers Restaurant with its new-style German cuisine, or
the cosy Overstolz Lounge with an open fireplace - all outlets
have a unique, elegant ambience combined with first-class
cuisine and professional, friendly service. The restaurants
at the InterContinental Cologne are designed to fulfil the
needs of the modern business traveller as well as the urban
bon vivant, who expect an ambience of well-being in trendy
surroundings.
Chef de Cuisine Jörg Stricker spoils our guests with
a new definition of 'New German cuisine', served in the casual
and, at the same time, elegant atmosphere of our Maulbeers
Restaurant, seating 64 guests. Located on the 1st floor, you
can reach it either by taking the elevator or via the impressive
spiral staircase that leads from the hotel Lobby to the 1st
floor. The restaurant itself is dominated by three huge, illuminated
columns that are, together with countless candles, the only
light source of the restaurant, designed in warm orange and
cognac tones.
Vecino
Wine Room: A very special eye-catcher. The heavy oak table
in the middle of this cosy room, which serves as the hotel's
wine cellar, invites you to celebrate very special 'Wine
& Dine' events. Surrounded by countless bottles of wine
and champagne that are stored in the wine room, you will
have the feeling of being in a wine cellar.
Harry's New-York Bar provides the perfect setting for a high
tea, and it is the ideal meeting place before or after visiting
the theatre, the Philharmonic Hall or Gürzenich. The
menu offers something for everybody's taste, be it a caffè
latte and a croissant in the morning, snacks, salads and high
tea during the day, or a wide range of cocktails, wines, beers
and bar snacks in the evening. Make yourself feel comfortable
at the 16-metre-long bar, at one of the window tables or in
the cosy armchairs in the middle of our bar.
Welcome to the masterpiece of the InterContinental Cologne.
The Overstolz is named after the impressive open fireplace
from the 16th century, owned by the family that formerly lived
at this place. The historical ceiling, dark wooden furniture
and the heavy leather armchairs in art deco style create a
unique retro look, reminiscent of the old tradition of British
or Hanseatic gentlemen's clubs. It is the specially designed
lighting of high-grade steel that creates this unique blend
of traditional and modern elements in the Overstolz, where
you can enjoy fantastic wines, whiskies and cigars.
Adjacent to the elegant Maulbeers Restaurant, hidden behind
a half-round red wall, is the Vecino, serving as the hotel's
wine cellar. The heavy oak table in the middle of this cosy
room invites you to celebrate very special 'Wine & Dine'
events. Surrounded by the countless bottles of wine and champagne
that are stored here you will have the feeling of being in
a wine cellar.

Faveo. All rooms are connected to multifunctional foyers,
which are ideal for registration desks or conference breaks.
