The
Capsis Bristol, a Luxurious Boutique Hotel, housed in one of
Thessaloniki's most historical Buildings, in Ladadika area.
It is located at the corner of Katouni and Oplopoiou Street,
in the Ladadika Quarter. In the same Building, during the years
of Ottoman occupation the old post office of Salonica was located
and it is a miracle that it was rescued from the conflagration
of 1917 that reduced an important part of the city to ashes.
The history of the "Bristol" starts when travelers
were spending the night at "inns" shared the same
space with their animals. In Bristol in Great Britain, the concept
of modern Hotels was born when, for the first time, an inn separated
customers from their horses and created Rooms for customers
and special spaces for horses. Therefore, the word Bristol is
synonymous with the word inn. Tradition says that since then
every town can host only one "Bristol".
The
founders of the Capsis Hotels chain were Thanos and Marika
Capsi, two people that left their own personal mark on the
history of Greek hospitality. A generation after, all members
of Capsis Hotel family co-ordinate every move they make so
as to make sure that respect to tradition and values of their

The Hotel consists of two Floors with 16 Rooms
(Singles & Doubles) and 4 Suites. The Rooms are named
after important personalities and regions of Macedonia such
as Filippos, Alexandros, Roxani, Olimpias, Kassandros, Antiohos,
Perseus, Lysimaxos, Parmenion, Filotas, Arsinoi, Kleitos,
Pella, Vergina, Antigonos, Dimitrios, Aristoteles, Krateros,
Antipatros, Ptolemaios. They are upholstered in tints of red,
green and blue.
All
Rooms & Suites are equipped with Air Conditioning, Direct
Dial Telephone with independent Internet Connection, Mini
Bar, Pay TV System, Hairdryer, Oxygen Mask, Marble Bathroom
where a luxurious set of Cosmetics create a beautiful ambiance,
Safe Deposit Box and Double Glazing Isolate Rooms from external
noise. The wooden parquet floors are covered with unique pieces
of precious hand-made Carpets "Bouhara". Hand-made
furniture decorated with carefully selected antiques, offer
a sense of comfort and "home" ambiance. All lighting,
selected antiques are precious works of art, each one different
and unique. Leather accessories decorate Study Rooms, each
with a elegant classic hall-stand.

The Hotel Reception is open on a 24-Hour basis, providing

Atrium in the centre of the Building, hosts the Breakfast Lounge
on the first Floor Balcony. A rich Buffet full of delicious
dishes, the day's bright light and the impressive wall paintings
are factors that contribute to a pleasant start to the day.
In the basement of the Capsis Bristol Building
is the "Depnosofestes" Restaurant, a small luxurious
Restaurant for just 40 diners.
The special creations of the "Depnosofestes" Chef,
based on the International cuisine, the rich wine collection
and the special care of the staff, promise the good food lover
unique evenings of delight, as well as successful private
gastronomic Lunch Meetings. Crystal glasses, English porcelain,
silver candlesticks, Italian tablecloths, embroidered leather
menus, are some of the luxury touches which impress from the
start.
The
entrance on the corner of Oplopoiou and Katoune Streets leads
to the "Medusa" Bistro Bar. Open all day up to midnight,
the "Medusa" Bistro Bar is the ideal choice for
any time of the day. The "Medusa" is sure to enchant
its visitors, for a light lunch in the noon break from work,
for a special cup of coffee, a cool beer or a delightful drink. |
The
Capsis Bristol has two Conference Rooms available for hosting
Business Meetings with a limited number of participants.
"Thessaloniki" Room can host up to 12 persons and
perfectly meets the needs of modern Businessmen, customers
of our Hotels. The Oval Table is hand-made and is a true work
of art. It is decorated with pieces of gold and "marquetry"
in carefully selected colours not to tire. Chairs that complete
the Table are also hand-made works of art. An impressive chandelier
of the 19-century lights the Room.
The Hall is equipped with Video/TV and an area for a Secretary.
A special area is available for charging Mobile Telephones.
A second Hall, with capacity for 20 persons, named "Rotonda"
available for Capsis Bristol customers serving modern business
needs. Small
tables and elegant chairs "warm" the Room, adding
a particular "touch" to your Meetings. Also, an
Imposing Desk with chairs dominates the Hall.
