HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The ship was built in 1967, in Ganz Óbudai Hajógyár. It cruised the Danube as a holiday ship of the Trade Unions (SZOT) until November 1992. A complete rebuilding of the whole interior of the ship took place in 2000. During this, the cabins were enlarged, and an English Pub was created in place of the former engine room. There are 14 rooms with basins in the bottom part of the hull. Common restrooms and shower rooms belong to these rooms.The following can be found on the main deck: the reception, the exclusive, elegant “Lord Nelson” restaurant, the conference room “Siren”, and a traditional conference salon “Nelson”. 12 rooms equipped with showers, televisions, mini bars, telephones and air-conditioning can also be found on this level.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: We await our hotel and conference guests with 44 one-bed and two-bed rooms with showers. Three of them are apartman rooms and there are four rooms of superior class. The rooms are equipped with TVs (satelite channels), mini bars, and telephones. We can safely store our guests’ valuables in our safe. Our hotel is completely air-conditioned. One of the specialities of our rooms is that each of them is named after a famous sailor or pirate.
HOTEL FACILITIES: From September to June the air-conditioned, established Lord Nelson Restaurant offers hungarian and international dishes, rare specialities and with a wide selection of drinks. For those who like light entertainment, our grill terrace offers tap beer, tasty grill dishes, dishes from the pan, salads and live music every day from June. SIREN HALL We recommend this room for big events, conferences, trainings, presentations, press conferences, receptions and banquettes. The room has natural light, and its furniture can be moved or changed easily. NELSON CONFERENCE SALON It is an extremely pleasant location for serious discussions. It is a comfortable leather upholstered suite, which provides a perfect opportunity to spend time separately and by concentrating on the talks.
FRANCIS DRAKE ROOM The English pub-like nature of the room is nicely complemented by the special tables and furniture. The twilight necessary for the atmosphere is provided by the round porthole. If you are looking for a room with a special atmosphere, then this is the perfect one for you! LORD NELSON RESTAURANT The atmosphere and furniture of our established restaurant call to mind the interior of a real ship. Wood used at the construction makes the room homelike. The room also has a round view that includes the Margaret island and the Castle. Whether you choose poultry, lamb, fish, pork or beef from our menu, our waiters are happy to recommend wine from are wine list that suits harmoniously the meal. GRILL TERRACE You can enjoy the taste and magic of the riverbank on our grill terrace from June. You can choose from a wide selection of dishes from the pan, salads, and pastries made according to homestyle recepies. Capacity: 150 people.
