HOTEL DESCRIPTION: At Dobó square you will find Hotel Senator-Ház, one of Eger’s most prominent hotels built right below the walls of the famous Eger Castle that earned its name during the times of the Turkish invasion of Hungary. This 3 star hotel was built from the actual stones of the castle’s outside wall lending a 300 year old ambiance to the building. With its 11 rooms, a restaurant, a café, a sauna, a patio that seats 80 people in the summer, it provides a historical atmosphere that is worth visiting for. From the turkish era this building is one of the few that remains to offer a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: The guests can chose from single or double rooms (an extra fold-out bed is available) that are overlooking the famous Dobó square or one of the many narrow historical streets of Eger. Our air conditioned rooms offer a bathroom, a hair dryer, TV, minibar, radio, phone and internet.
HOTEL FACILITIES: The guests can enjoy the traditional Hungarian cuisine, or chose from a wide range of international gourmet dishes. Throughout the year many special occasions provide the opportunity to organize gastronomical events. Carnival wine tasting (in February), Easter Ham Parade, May Asparagus Days, Summer Salad Festival, Grape Harvest and Márton day Feasts. Wine tasting and dinners in well known Eger cellars (accomodation available). We are also offering our services in organizing in-house or outside family/business events. A traditional Advent Tent is raised to end the year where we make our own boiled wine, Christmas punch, baked chestnut, jelly soup. Our Café offers many choices of ice cream, fruit plates, homemade deserts, cakes, and a wide variety of coffee and tea. - internet
