Hérað is a three-star hotel in the centre of Egilsstaðir,
the major town of east Iceland. The hotel has 36 rooms with modern
furnishings, all with (fjölrása) TV, radio, phone
and hair dryer.The hotel restaurant seats up to 110.

Hérað is an excellent location for conferences outside
the capital area. On the hotel premises is a beauty salon / massage
parlour. Egilsstaðir
has its own international airport, and many of Icelands
most renowned beauty spots are nearby for instance the
woods of Hallormsstaður, and Borgarfjörður eystri
with its extraordinary mountain landscape, which is 75 km away.
Seyðisfjörður is only 25 km from Egilsstaðir.
Organised tours of the region are also available.
ACCOMMODATION : Hotel Herad, built in 1998, increased in size when it opened a new wing on 1st June 2004, offering a further 24 standard rooms, bringing the total to 60 rooms over three floors. On the ground floor of the new wing is a conference / meeting room with a seating capacity of 120.

RESTAURANT : The comfortable bar at the hotel has a balcony where you can enjoy the midnight sun while relaxing after an exciting day. The restaurant offers a tasty menu, starters, fresh fish dishes, Icelandic lamb, reindeer steak (the pride of the house) and delicious desserts.

With the (new) facility and the existing meeting room on the first flor, both well equipped, Hotel Herad is a good choice and very well suited for conferences and larger meetings outside Reykjavik.All usual conference equipment is, of course, available,
and staff are always on hand to ensure the smooth progress of
meetings, conferences and refreshments. The hotels function
rooms are also suitable for wedding and confirmation receptions,
staff parties, presentations and cocktail parties.
