HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Hotel Ranga is a luxury countryside hotel and the only 4 star resort in South Iceland. It offers all the facilities and services of a modern resort. Located about an hour from Reykjavík between Hella and Hvolsvöllur, it lies just off the main road right in middle of South Iceland’s panoramic scenery. It provides stunning picturesque surroundings, such as the famous volcano Mt. Hekla, several glaciers and the Westman Islands. It's ideal location - only an hour's drive from the capital - offers something special for the visitor on a year-round basis and gives you a real taste of Iceland. Right on the banks of the Iceland´s (worlds #1 in 2007) premiere salmon river The Eystri-Rangá, the hotel offers an optimal atmosphere to meet every travelers needs whether they be relaxation, pleasure, adventure or business.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: Superior: There are nineteen (19) rooms with twin beds that can be put together upon prior requests, or five (5) with double queen beds. All rooms have a telephone, bathtub and a shower (3 handicap accessible rooms with shower only), desk, cabinet, mini bar, hairdryer and TV. Rooms face either the riverside and the outdoor hot tubs (12 rooms with private balcony) or the famous volcano Mt. Hekla (almost all of these rooms are equipped with indoor Jacuzzis). Deluxe Room: There are eighteen (18) rooms with King size beds and two (2) rooms with Twin size beds. All rooms are equipped with CD and DVD player, radio, TV, indoor Jacuzzi bathtub and shower, sofa with built-in bed, table, minibar, desk, bath robes, hairdryer and 10 rooms have flat screen TV. The rooms either face the riverside and the outdoor hot tubs (17 rooms are with private balcony) or the famous Volcano Mt. Hekla. Size 26m².

HOTEL FACILITIES: The Hotels very well-reputed and romantic gourmet "Restaurant 4" seats 110 people downstairs + 100 upstairs in the 2 meeting rooms. The hotels motto is the concept of a "Farmers market" - in effect using predominantly local ingrediants of the highest quality and freshness - all when seasonally available. We also always try to use organic production as much as possible. The inspirational style of cooking is modern Nordic cuisine - with a touch of the French & Italian kitchen. The emphasis is on excellent yet personal service. Hotel Rangá has over the years offered a suitable meeting rooms on the 2nd floor for smaller meeting. This November the conference facilities have been significantly upgraded by adding a large conference room. We can now receive groups of over 100 people and a total dining capacity of over 200 people on two floors with access by an elevator. The new riverfront dining room is on the first floor and can also be used as a meeting room for larger groups. The two conference rooms and the bar on the 2nd floor with a stunning overview of the nearby volcanoes, glaciers and The Rangá River. All the modern equipped rooms are furnished with a wooden-cladding, giving a very warm ambience. We can also offer facilities for meetings in our deluxe rooms or suites for smaller groups.
