LOCATION: Hotel Reykjavik Centrum is a new 4 * hotel in the heart of the city, opened on April 1st 2005. It is located on one of Reykjavik’s oldest streets, Adalstraeti, in a newly renovated building, the oldest part of which was built in 1764. On each side of it, new buildings have been constructed in the likeness of their historic predecessors Fjalakötturinn and Uppsalir.

The hotel spreads over all three buildings, and is designed in the style found in Reykjavík around 1900. During its construction, the remains of a Viking longhouse from the Settlement Period were found. In 2006 an attractive exhibition centre will be opened under the hotel, where the longhouse’s remains will be on display together with related exhibits. Among the finds excavated at the site were Iceland’s oldest human remains, dating from approximately 870 AD.

ACCOMMODATION: The hotel has 89 rooms, each fitted with modern amenities, such as satellite TV, telephone, Internet access, mini-bar, radio, iron and board, hair dryer, safe and tea & coffee set. All rooms have en-suite bathroom with either a shower or a bath.

The hotel offers rooms with facilities for disabled persons, and adjoining rooms (walk-through) are available upon request. In addition, there are two conference rooms, one with board room set up for 14 persons and the other can vary in set up with a capacity of 39 persons in theatre setting. Hotel Reykjavík Centrum offers first-class services, including room service and porter service, as well as excellent facilities for business guests.

Double Deluxe The double deluxe room is larger than the standard room room size 25-30 m2. It has a double bed 180 cm and armchairs or sofa bed.
Double Room The room is comfortable, and well equipped, with bath and/or shower facilities, minibar, telephone, satellite TV, radio, hair dryer, iron & ironboard, safe, coffee and tea making facilities, and other amenities to make your stay enjoyable.
Junior Suite The Junior Suite is comfortable and well equipped, with bath and shower facilities, minibar, telephone, satellite TV, radio, hair dryer, coffee and tea making facilities, iron and ironboard and other amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The room is on two levels, downstairs sitting area with sofa and TV, bathroom and balconies facing the parliament and square. Upstairs, bedroom with desk, second TV and telephone.
Single Deluxe Double room for single use.
Single room The room is comfortable, and well equipped, with bath and/or shower facilities, minibar, telephone, satellite TV, radio, hair dryer, Iron & ironboard, coffee and tea making facilities and other amenities to make your stay enjoyable.

RESTAURANT : We take pride in affording our guests the opportunity to experience a real Reykjavík atmosphere in historic buildings in the old city centre. This experience is brought home perfectly by a visit to the Fjalaköttur restaurant, which specializes in traditional Icelandic dishes made from selected Icelandic materials. You can also relax at the hotel’s cosy bar & café after a busy day in town.
