This exclusive 4 star hotel is situated in the central Santa Maria Novella Square, made precious and restored by architects Edoardo Detti and Carlo Scarpa. Grand Hotel Minerva is one of the most prestigiously appreciated and well known hotels in Florence and has hosted such celebrities as Orfeo Tamburi who in 1963 left the above thought which best represents the spirit of the hotel.

Grand Hotel Minerva is characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are accessible either by the large stair case or by elevator. The room doors are decorated with photographs of antique Florentine doors while the common seating areas are furnished with antique pieces. The 102 rooms and suites, are partly facing the piazza and partly the cloisters of the Santa Maria Novella church, all offering different systemizations. The superior and junior suites offer marvellous views of the city and a few of these also offer a ‘relaxing corner’ with Turkish bath and Jacuzzi. For a very memorable stay the Presidential suite offers 120 square metres, with breathtaking ceiling frescos.

The hotel has 102 elegantly furnished styled rooms with a view of either the piazza or the Santa Maria Novella’s church cloister. It also offers 6 meeting rooms all with natural light and a capacity of up to 90 people, as well the splendid roof swimming pool offers a view if the city of Florence. The hotel is equipped with an internet point, free wi-fi, and conventional garage parking.
The restaurant “I Chiostri” may accommodate up to 180 people with an outdoor patio from April to September, this location is ideal to taste some of the best traditional Tuscan dishes.
