The hotel is located within the new Lingotto Exhibition and Congress Centre, an ingenious renovation of the previous Fiat factory. It is designed and decorated with distinctive Italian flair by the famous architect Renzo Piano. A perfect synthesis of history, art and culture, each detail is dedicated to the future.
The first floor of the Lingotto building is occupied by a one kilometre long, elegant and exclusive shopping mall "8 Gallery" containing numerous boutiques and cafes. Open seven days a week, the shopping gallery allows you to "take a stroll downtown" without actually leaving the hotel. Arcades, arcades and still more arcades front the shops of designer fashion, leather goods, accessories and Italian design that look onto Via Roma. Via Garibaldi teems with stylish shops for young people, while Via Po and the streets around the Mole Antonelliana satisfy lovers of antiques and antiquarian and second-hand books.
Turin also has many markets and local markets to animate its streets and squares: among these the Gran Balôn in Borgo Dora, where you can find period magazines, toys, rare pieces of furniture and much more. Turin also has the biggest market in Europe - every morning Piazza della Repubblica overflows with thousands of stalls selling fruit, vegetables, flowers and a variety of other products.
Turin's surrounding green countryside features an enviable heritage of castles, royal residences and churches, not to mention gastronomic delights and world-renowned Piemontese wines.
