PASSPORTS:
Passport valid for at least six months required by all.
VISAS: Required by all except the following:
(a) nationals of countries in the table above (except nationals of Australia
and 1. nationals of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, hungary, Japan, Latvia,
Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovak Republic and Slovenia who do require
a visa) for tourist stays of up to 90 days;
(b) nationals of the CIS (except nationals of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan
who do require a visa) for tourist stays of up to 90 days.
Types of visa and cost: Tourist: US$40 (single-entry,
1 month); US$50 (double-entry, one month); US$70 (multiple-entry, one
month); US$100 (multiple-entry, two months); US$120 (multiple-entry, three
months); US$160 (multiple-entry, six months); US$200 (multiple-entry,
12 months). Transit: US$20 (single-entry); US$40 (double-entry). There
is an additional non-refundable visa application fee of US$5, which must
be paid by a separate money order or cheque. It is also important to note
that the cost of visas alter in accordance with the exchange rate and
the aforementioned prices should only be consulted as a rough guideline.
Note: (a) Payments must be made in US Dollars only, in accordance
with the exchange rate of the US Dollar at the date of issue. (b) The
cost of a Business visa is identical to an ordinary tourist visa for stays
of between six to 12 months. Business visas are issued on an individual
basis and demand different requirements, so it is advisable to contact
the embassy/consulate for further details.
Validity: Tourist: One month from date of issue.

Application requirements: (a) Passport with blank pages
to affix the visa. (b) One application form. (c) One passport-size photo.
(d) Fee payable by money order or cheque only. (e) For postal applications,
a self-addressed return envelope should also be submitted. (f) Very occasionally,
a letter of invitation from a private person or organisation, authorised
by the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moldova.
Note:
(a) Nationals of countries who can enter Moldova visa-free for stays of
up to 90 days do not need to submit an invitation except when applying
for stays of six months or longer. (b) All foreign visitors must register
with the police within three days of arrival.
Working
days required: Three; same day for urgent visas with surcharge
of 50 per cent of visa price.
Temporary
residence: Apply to the Foreign Ministry in Moldova.
