HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The Bondeheimen Hotel was established in 1913 and ever since the beginning it has been a true home for different people from the Norwegian countryside, Nobel literature laureates, artists and tourists from Europe and America. The hotel is located only 100 meters from the parliament building and the main street Karl Johans gate. Guests will find themselves in the most central part of downtown Oslo, with all important museums, shops, restaurants and attractions, like the Royal Palace and Aker Brygge, within walking distance.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: Room inventory: 127 rooms / 240 beds. Most of our rooms are double rooms, with Norwegian interior and design. Even the choice of colours is inspired by traditional arts and decorations. The rooms provide the guests with all the facilities they would expect to find in a modern and urban hotel.
We have a wide range of rooms that can take families from two to five persons, or business travellers in need of meeting facilities in the hotel room. The windows are large and offer a truly urban view down on some of Oslo's most busy and representative streets. For older guest that might prefer silence to life and movement, we have several rooms turned towards our calmer back yard.

HOTEL FACILITIES: If you need a meeting room, we have a conference room and a group room seating up to 25 persons.
The lobby is open 24 hours. Our front desk staff has received the Best Western Quality award twice for excellent service and competence. Complementary light supper, usually homemade soup with fresh bread and butter, is served in the lobby on weekdays.
Kaffistova Restaurant facilities: Opening hours: Breakfast: 6:30 - 9:30 Lunch / dinner: 9:45 - 20:00 (21:00) Our lunch buffet offers a great variety of Scandinavian sandwiches. We also use the buffet when serving our full Scandinavian breakfast. The café has served traditional Norwegian food for more than a century. The first café opened in 1901 with traditional carved and painted wood-furniture. Some of the original interior is on display at the Norwegian Folk Museum at Bygdøy. In our days, the cafe is held in a modern and light style with several pictures and details connecting the present with the past. 220 seats on two floors allow us to arrange lunch and dinner for groups up to 100 people.
