HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Welcome to a hotel in rapid development. The hotel changed hands in May 2006 (the new owner is the Augustin Hotel). We wish to refurbish the public areas, guest rooms and conference and banquet facilities. The hotel has therefore appointed its own award-winning interior architect. She is now drawing up plans for new furnishings and a new colour scheme in various parts of the hotel. Bergen’s venerable old 1920s hotel is about to get at a new lease of life.

HOTEL ACCOMMODAITON: We have 131 well-equipped rooms. You can chose between single rooms, double rooms, deluxe rooms and junior suites.

HOTEL FACILITIES: Grand Hotel Terminus offers a wide variety of dining facilities. Our restaurant, bar, café, and banquet hall are at our guests' disposal.
Ambrosia Restaurant: The Ambrosia gourmet restaurant opened in the spring of 1999 in the hotels "Breakfast Room", and one of our first guests was Queen Sonja. The restaurant is French inspired and has received very good reviews in the press. Here you can have exquisite food in elegant surroundings. The restaurant is open to parties of minimum 10 persons.
Ambrosia Bar: Ambrosia Bar is in the heart of the hotel. Here you will find comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace. You may enjoy a drink while being inspired by the stylish architecture. The bar is a meeting place for visitors and locals alike. Celebrities have commented that a 'Cafe avec' in the Ambrosia Bar is one of the most romantic experiences imaginable.
Terminus Cafe: The Terminus Cafe has a continental character - here you will find the city's most delicious cakes and open-faced sandwiches. We also offer light warm dishes or dinners.
Banquet: Grand Hotel has several banquet rooms and rooms for private parties. The rooms are elegant and are reminiscent of past glory. We can offer delicious menus with recommendations for some splendid wines.

Activities: Our garden is well suited for a café au lait, or for an aperitif before dinner. We welcome our guests to various activities at daytime and in the evenings. We can offer custom designed activities/social arrangements to our seminar and conference customers. Anything from classical concerts or tango festivals to horse racing at the Bergen race track. Together with our many partners we may prepare a wide range of activities according to your wishes.
