LOCATION:
Welcome
to our historic city and to the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel, one
of Norway's most distinguished hotels. We are located downtown,
on the famous "Bryggen", the picturesque old harbour
waterfront district dating back to 1702.
The
hotel's traditional architectural style perfectly harmonises with
its atmospheric surroundings, but combines its old world charm
with modern services and management.
ACCOMMODATION:
Our
273 rooms and suites are elegantly furnished and equipped to the
highest standard. All have colour TV, radio, telephone with voice
mail, trouser press, mini-bar, safe, and ISDN hookup.
There are also non-smoking rooms and rooms specially adapted for
disabled guests. Offering an even higher level of luxury, our
suites and Business Class rooms are the largest and most peaceful
in the hotel, with little extras such as a personal safe, slippers,
bathrobe.
RESTAURANTS:
Under
a glass ceiling, the Cafe Royal restaurant specialises in spare
ribs and mussels. Cafe Royal also serves a wide range of Scandinavian
and international dishes, and light snacks throughout the day.
Statsraaden
is a member of the exclusive 'Chaine des Rotisseurs', an accolade
reserved solely for gourmet restaurants offering food of outstanding
quality and creativity.
| Madam
Felle on the waterfront is known for its wide selection of
whisky and for cosy and friendly atmosphere.
During
the summer months, the dockside opposite the hotel becomes
the Promenaden cafe/bar, serving cold beers or hot coffee,
while enjoying unrivalled views of the old harbour. For
night owls, the Engelen nightclub on the top floor will
entertain you until the early hours most nights of the week.
