Hotel Amadeus is a four star establishment located in the
heart of Old Town Krakow, only minutes to Market Square,
the Cloth Hall, and St. Mary's Church. Regarded in some
circles as "The New Prague," Krakow has recently
seen a boom in tourism, and is an apt contender for the
title of Eastern Europe's Most Beautiful City. Nestled on
the banks of the Wisla (Vistula) River, between the Jura
uplands and the Tatra Mountains, Krakow has remained practically
unspoiled since the Tartar raids of the 13th Century.
The city boasts one of the largest medieval market squares
in Europe-the Rynek Glowny-which was established in 1257
and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other
fascinating areas of Krakow include the Kazimierz district,
the historical center of the Jewish community. |
