HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Built in 1902 on the site of the City Hall and Royal Court of Law - Satu Mare, in a downtown location, the Dacia Hotel Complex is an architectural gem and also one of the smartest buildings in Transylvania. The building (whose project won a prize at Vienna, in 1903, at an architectural exhibition), was made in the Secession style, with the city's old sign inlaid in the front of it.The hotel's guestbook recorded in the past, personalities of the romanian culture, like N. Iorga, L. Rebereanu, O. Goga, M. Sadoveanu. Today, the hotel has 100 places disposed in single rooms, double rooms and apartments, a retro restaurant, a day-bar, conference room, exchange point. All rooms have their own bathrooms, international telephone line, cable-TV, refrigerating bar and air conditioner.
