Conveniently located only 3 blocks away from the Nevsky Prospekt, Russ Hotel can be positioned at the bottom of the Standard Hotels category. Among its advantages are good location and affordable price. On the down side - worn out and small rooms (with small beds) and plain dining facilities. Russ Hotel boasts such little conveniences as sauna, currency exchange and souvenir kiosk.

ROOM FEATURES
All rooms of the Russ Hotel are clean, but not very comfortable. Furniture and amenities are rather old. Both singles and doubles feature private bathroom, telephone and TV with local cable. There are no rooms with King-size beds at the Russ Hotel.

HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
24-hour Reception Desk, room service is available, local and international direct-dial telephone communications (At check-in please tell the Reception Desk staff whether you plan to make local and/or international calls from your room telephone. They will program telephone exchange accordingly. Don't forget to pay for your calls before check-out), conference hall for up to 100 people and meeting room, currency exchange is located in the lobby, near Reception area, spacious sauna with a small swimming pool and fitness facilities is a nice place to relax,
barber shop (Hairdresser's), souvenir kiosk, pharmacy kiosk, luggage locker, Newsagent's, Guarded parking and elevator/lift (no handicapped access).
RESTAURANT & BARS
Dining facilities at the Russ Hotel are mediocre at best and we would recommend that guests opt instead for one of the many restaurants, cafes and bars to be found on and around Nevsky Prospekt, just a few blocks from the hotel. Breakfast is included in your room price and is served in the hotel's 110-seater Cafe. After breakfast the cafe resorts to a menu of mainly European and Russian cuisine. The café also hosts a small bar and adjacent to it are the hotel's two banqueting halls, which can be hired out for private functions. All major credit cards are accepted. The hotel's small wood-paneled Lobby Bar serves various hot and cold beverages and light snacks. No credit cards are accepted.
