In short, the hay is gathered in from the grasslands, the vine is ripe and the cellar is full. The Wine Cellar: In recent years, Slovenia has become more and more well known for its wines. Starting in the north-east of Slovenia, you find the Maribor and Ormozh vineyards, home of golden Renski Riesling. Moving south, we come to Dolenjska region, home of light red, drinkable "Cvicek". Travelling West we enter Primorska region, best known for its rich red wines, Refosk and Merlot. A little further north-west we finally come to the famous Vipava valley, vineyards of choice of the Hapsburgs. Yes, you can enjoy a tour of Slovene wine country from within our cellar!
