Vila Bled has its' own rich tradition, dating from the Austro-Hungarian
empire. It was also used as the summer residence of the pre-war
Yugoslav royal family, then becoming the post-war holiday
residence of President Josip Broz Tito, putting it at the
centre of political and social events. Hotel Vila Bled gained
its' reputation as the scene of important events by merit
of its' pleasant historic atmosphere, far removed from the
bustle of daily life, but at the same time enjoying a high
