HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Since the hotel opened in 1983 it has been renovated on several occasions to adapt to the changing needs of guests. The most recent renovation was carried out in 2008. The Meliá Atlanterra is now one of the most important hotels in the magical destination of Zahara de los Atunes. The hotel is located in a unique natural setting on one of the best beaches in Spain with its white sand and famous picture postcard sunsets which decorate the sea with infinite red and orange hues. The name Zahara de los Atunes evokes images of one of the Spanish coastline's most desirable locations and one of the last untouched paradises on the peninsula. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: The hotel provides 285 rooms of which 204 are double rooms, 48 are superior double rooms, 30 are family rooms and 3 are junior suites. All of the rooms have been recently renovated and come with a full bathroom, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, safe and magnetic locks. All of them have their own furnished terrace. Baby cots are provided free of charge.

HOTEL FACILITIES: The hotel is surrounded by 12,000 m2 of exotic, lush gardens in which there are two outdoor swimming pools; a lagoon-style pool for adults with two jacuzzis and a pool bar, and another pool located in a quieter corner for children.
The hotel has 6 function rooms (4 with natural sunlight) with capacity for up to 330 people ideal for meetings, conventions and incentives. All of the rooms have the latest audiovisual technology (on request). We also offer the possibility to choose from different set-ups as well as a wide choice of menus, coffee breaks, buffets, cocktails, barbeques, gala dinners and banquets.

The cuisine at the Meliá Atlanterra is truly delightful and should definitely not be missed. The breakfast and dinner buffets are served at the "La Cascada" Restaurant, and both provide show cooking. Guests have an extensive and varied choice for lunch. For guests seeking pleasant surroundings and excellent service there is also the à la carte "La Pérgola" Restaurant on our terrace. From May onwards our "Las Brisas" Beach Restaurant is also open for fans of the beach. At the "Oasis" Aquabar in the main pool guests can try a snack while also enjoying the pool and sunshine. In the evening the à la carte "Mediterráneo" Restaurant serves fusion cuisine alongside regional specialities, perfect for exquisite dishes in the high season. The "El Patio" Lobby Bar is open from the afternoon to the small hours of the morning. Enjoy a coffee or one of our delicious cocktails accompanied by live piano music and other performances during the evening. The Tánger Bar opens in a corner of the Lobby Bar where guests can choose from a special tea menu and also smoke while enjoying the music. The hotel offers extensive and varied cuisine, a place for guests to discover bars, terraces and restaurants and where they can relax and enjoy wonderful days of rest.

The days are made even more complete with a session at our Health and Beauty Centre with its indoor swimming pool and gym, free for all our hotel guests. As well as services such as sauna, steam bath and Turkish bath, the Health and Beauty Centre has a hairdresser and provides massages and numerous health and beauty treatments. The hotel also offers a programme of daytime and evening entertainment with different activities for children and adults. Our Activities Club is open until 7 pm and will book day trips for guests as well as providing beach towels. Club 4 is for children from 1 to 4 years of age. Mini Club is for children from the age of 5. The hotel has two tennis courts, 2 paddle tennis courts and a volleyball net on the beach. It is 20 minutes from Montenmedio Golf Course and 5 minutes from a horse riding centre.
