LOCATION:
The
Lady Hamilton Hotel Stockholm is one big museum, a dramatization
of both Swedish and English history. The Class A listed building
has been around ever since 1470. The Lady Hamilton, a hotel expatriated
from British shores, recalls the fresh flowered ambience of a
Georgian country home.
SHOW MAP
Located in Old Town, the hotel comprises a row of superbly restored
mansions, carefully decorated with 18th century furnishings. There
are, throughout the hotel, nautical reminders of the Lady's heroic
lover, Admiral Nelson. The bar resembles an old country inn and
has a relaxing atmosphere. There's a bright breakfast room and
a pool and sauna that's been fashioned out of the old wine-cellar.
