| We arranges daily
dhow cruise from Khasab harbour to the near marine villages.
Enjoy the day swimming, snorkeling,
fishing and dolphin watching. Our traditionally decorated Omani
dhows can accommodate more then 35 people at a time. During the
trip you can cruise into the Strait of Hormuz (Special Trip) and
discover different fishing villages, Nadifi, Qanah and Maqlab, only
reachable by boat. The old stone houses of Qanah blend in the cliffs.
They are visible only from a short distance. The Dhow anchors at
the famous Telegraph Island where you can swim and snorkel in the
clear waters. The place was a station along the telegraph cable
that linked London to Iraq's sounthern city of Basra ang onwards
to Bombay, India in 1864. The station was then moved from Musandam
to Hesgam in Iran (Persia).
The Khor Sham is a sheltered, 17m
long Fjord. The water is crystal clear and calm, very inviting for
snorkeling of swimming. The mountains rise out of the sea and reflect
back on the water. There are almost always dolphins playing and
following the boats as they cruise around the villages
