OVERVIEW
The hotel combines a long tradition of Omani hospitality
with an international standard of luxury. Occupying a prime
beachside location, the Sohar Beach by Swiss-Belhotel is
a resort hotel designed in the style of a traditional Omani
fort.
This 4-star hotel enjoys a quiet coastal location, whilst
providing easy access to the ancient capital of Sohar and
its surrounding attractions.
Sohar’s labyrinth of streets and alleyways is a boon
for shoppers and tourists. The town retains it’s old
fashioned charm, successfully combing the traditional Omani
way of life with its twentieth century needs .At it’s
heart lies a beautiful restored fort, and a magnificent
Corniche sweeps the coast.
Sohar is ideally situated for those wishing to explore the
countryside. Located close to Sohar are ancient copper mines,
and a short journey into the foothills of Jebel Akdar (the
Green Mountain ) reveals the delightful fortified towns
of Ibri, Nakhl, Rustaq and Nizwa.
Sohar every third Friday afternoon in the winter month,
holds a series of bullfights. Unlike its European equivalent,
this version is completely bloodless, as bulls pit their
strength against one another. The winner pushes the loser
from the ring. The scramble as these magnificent, agile
beasts come too close to the audience or even break loose,
can be as entertaining as the “fight”. |
ACCOMMODATION
The Sohar Beach features 45 guest rooms, suites and chalets.
Most of the rooms are in the fort-style building and enjoy
views over the swimming pool and hotel gardens.
All are beautifully appointed with an individual balcony
over looking the pool or section of the sea.
Chalets have their own private enterances and overlook either
the beach or the landscape garden which surround the swimming
pool. |
DINING & ENTERTAINMENT
Sallan Restaurant & Terrace is a multi
cuisine eatery with an open air terrace overlooking the
sprawling lawns and the swimming pool. Fully licensed to
serve beverages, the Sallan Restaurant & Terrace offers
Arabic, Indian and Continental cuisine for Breakfast, Lunch
and Dinner from 6 am till 11 pm.
Al Jizzi Lounge - An exclusive members and Residents
lounge set in romantic hues, perfect for aperitifs and a
quiet drink. A well stocked bar caters to all sorts of drink
requirements. And for those intending to indulge in “exercise”
can “sweat” it out on the pool table.
Arabesque Bar - A vibrant night spot with
live Arabic music and dance performances by artists from
Middle East. Fully licensed to serve a variety of beverages,
a pre plated special snack is also included in the entry
fee.
Ayna Bar & Discotheque - An exotic
musical night club accompanied with a vivacious Filipino
Band Hearts on Fire, where you will definitely want to groove
with the fast tapping music with your loved one and then
sooth your throat with chilled beer and other wide range
of beverages.
Beach Bar - An open place between nature’s
green carpet and the blue sky with a cool breeze to compliment.
Yes, we are talking about our Beach Bar where you can relax
at the beach and share a few moments with some one special
or friends together amidst of the ambiance of candles all

SALLAH HALL :
A beautifully appointed Banquet Hall that can provide an
ideal venue for conferences, meetings, seminars, product
launches, birthday parties, lunches, dinners, weddings and
formal banquets.
Latest conference aids and Audio Visual equipment is available

LEISURE FACILITIES
Leisure facilities at the hotel include the temperature-controlled
outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a recreation centre and
