The hotel has experienced airport noise. Although the hotel is 6 km from the airport, they are in close proximity to the flight path. Depending on take off and landing patterns, there can be noise interference. The current Doha International Airport will cease to operate when the new airport is opened in 2009.

PROPERTY LOCATION

The Village is located just 10 minutes from the Doha International Airport, 15 minutes from the city centre, and 20 minutes from the prominent shopping district. Guests are taken to and from the airport by our fleet of Rolls-Royce Phantoms, and all types of travel in and around Doha can be arranged through the concierge.

ACCOMMODATION

174 guest rooms consisting of 151 Deluxe Rooms, 14 King Suites, 8 Specialty Suites, and 1 Royal Suite are dispersed among fourteen low-rise courtyard villas to make up the Sharq Village & Spa. Each beit, or villa, is attended to by its own personal butler who prides themselves in far exceeding expectations. The guest rooms are all guarded by thick, rustic walls and a giant, iron-studded wooden door behind which hide beautiful handpicked furnishings from Arabia and the Orient.

Upscale touches create a sense of luxury and comfort with Omani chests, Persian lanterns, and Indian hand-carved wood adorning the rooms, which are complimented by inlaid brass, pebbled glass and a trader’s four-poster bed. Cool inner courtyards with trickling fountains, intricate mosaics, and shaded inlets draw guests through their backdoors to enjoy a mid-afternoon read or a starlit night. Dine-in menus provide extravagant meals in an intimate setting that more resemble dinner at home than room-service, and the past meets the present as every guest room is fitted with the latest in technology for both the leisure and the business traveller.

The Sharq Village & Spa offers a symphony of flavours with some of the most unique and imaginative dining experiences Doha has to offer. Each venue showcases exquisite culinary creations that blend into the rich ambiance of the ancient Qatari village with five-star service and comfort. The village restaurants offer the most breathtaking views of Doha bay with ample terrace and rooftop seating.

Al Liwan All Day Dining
Guests can choose taste-tempting Arabic and Western delicacies from our artistically presented buffet, or order from the select a la carte menu. Al Liwan offers a perfect submersion into decadence-done-right any time of the day. One may enjoy delicious food, coupled with live entertainment set in a plush Arabic milieu or take pleasure in dining on the intimate and sun kissed terrace.

Al Mahara Fish Market Restaurant
The Fish Market Restaurant is truly a novelty in Doha. From the expansive two-story terrace overlooking Doha bay, one can see the fisherman casting and retrieving their nets to catch the fresh delicacies that will travel from boat to be served in the restaurant by night. The fresh seafood buffet elevates the daily catch from the perfect to the sublime when every activity in the kitchen centres on maximizing the promise of its quality and freshness. Only the finest olive oils and most delicate herb-infused flavourings are allowed to mingle with the freshly caught fish.

With the assistance of the chef on the ground floor of the restaurant, one selects from among the largest array of fresh seafood in Doha and chooses exactly how it should be prepared. Upstairs, guests are seated in lavishly adorned Al Dana which offers private function rooms that overlook Doha Bay, here guests can order a la carte from the chef’s list of preferred recipes.
Lunch is served on the Ground Floor and Lower Terrace from 12:30 to 15:30, while dinner is served on both levels from 18:30 to 23:00.

Al Yalsa

To relax with superb hand-rolled tobacco, or to just drop by for our extensive selection of fine spirits, the Cigar Bar is open nightly.

Al Wanis Shisha Terrace
Al Wanis Shisha Terrace offers guests the perfect opportunity to partake in a truly authentic Qatari indulgence. Patrons lay strewn upon oversized cushions under a star-speckled sky as they are served delectable Arabic mezze whilst puffing shisha from a hookah (traditional Arabic water-pipe). Al Wanis Shisha terrace offers the widest selection of flavoured shishas accompanied by an artistic menu of Arabic delicacies and mocktails.
