Facilities & Services : The Balcova springs has been discovered by the Greek Commander Agamemnon in the years of 1400. According to the legend, the daughter of commander Agamemnon gets ill and her whole body was covered with wounds. The doctors of the days could not cure the daughter. Agamemnon thinking not to have the disease spread to all of the army, takes her to the place a where today Balcova Thermal resort is located and leaves her tied with chains to death.
The ill girl drinks from the thermal water and takes mud baths. She cured in 21 days. Now she looks more healthy, more beautiful and more fit than before. The thermal water contains Potassium, Calcium, Sulfur, Magnesium, Iron, Sulfate, Bi-carbonate, Chlorine and Sodium.
Thermal water specially cures the theumatic diseases, neck and low back pain, the disturbances of orthopedic and neurologic all disorders, arthrose and chronic infection diseases and also is used as beauty and esthetic objectives.
At Therapy Center of Izmir Princess Hotel there is a doctor, a nurse and a physiotherapist. If it's needed doctor can keep in touch with Therapy Center of Balcova Thermal Hotel. Also, there is a tunnel connects the therapy centers of both Izmir Princess Hotel and Baclova Thermal Hotel.
