Your City Tour covers the Bastakiya area that is 38000 square meter, extending 300 meters along side the Creek, also dates back to the early 1890, which represents an important area in Dubai history of architecture, with traditional buildings of historical values, Bastakiya was built within walls to protect this area from enemies of Old times, in rich Architectural features. Close by, stands the 150-year old Al Fahidi Fort, which now houses the Dubai Museum. Al Fahidi Fort is one of the most important historical monuments in Dubai. On your City Tour you will have a visit to Al Ahmadiah School, which was built in the year of 1920, also called by: the Museum of Education, this is the earliest regular school at Dubai and a visit here is an excellent opportunity to see the history of education in Dubai. This school used to be mainly concerned with Islamic studies only, where the Mutawaa (Religious teacher) used to have emphasis over the teachings of Qur’aan, also some science subject. During our journey next to the Abra - a local water taxi, this had survived over the centuries, where wonderful meals and BBQs are served on board, while looking at the magnificent sight of the city on both sides of the Creek, and which will bring us to the spice Market. Dubai Culture and Heritage Tour duration Itinerary:
Dubai City Tour starts at 9am, we will start at Picture point Creek side of Bur Duabi, where you will be able to take pictures for Deira from the Bur Dubai side. Next stop will be at Bastakia Heritage Village, where you will be given time to wonder inside, then a visit to the Dubai Museum, following that then we will be passing by the Old Wind Mill,. Leaving the Old Wind Mill we will head toward Sheikh Saeed Old house, also next to it you will wonder in the Heritage village where you can buy wonderful Souvenirs for a memory of a life time. Then we will go into the Shandaga Tunnel to Deira Dubai side to visit the Al Ahmadiah School, following that we will visit the Gold Souk/Market, and the Tour will end at the Spice Market and the Abra Water taxi.
