The Nile,
referred to as the “mother of civilisation”, has
attracted pilgrims and travellers since the 16th century BC.
The cruise is a unique way to journey through the glories
of ancient Egypt.
Day 1: Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport where you will be met
and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
Tour the Egyptian Museum, then head out of Cairo to Giza to
explore the Great Pyramids as well as the 50-metre-long Sphinx.
Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Luxor
Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight to
Luxor, transferring to the riverside pier for embarkation.
Visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Overnight
on-board in Luxor.
Day 4: Esna
After breakfast, visit the west bank, and Valleys of the Kings
and Queens before lunch and an afternoon sail to Esna. Overnight
at Esna.
Day 5: Kom Ombo
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Khnum in Esna before
sailing to Edfu. Following lunch you tour the Temple of Horus,
before cruising to Kom Ombo. Overnight in Kom Ombo.
Day 6: Aswan
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo before sailing
to Aswan and enjoying lunch on the sun deck. This is followed
by a felucca ride to the Botanical Gardens. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 7: Cairo
After breakfast visit the High Dam and the Old Dam of Aswan,
the Unfinished Obelisk and the Philae Temple. Transfer to
Aswan Airport for the flight back to Cairo where you are met
and taken to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 8: Cairo
Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return or
onward flight.
Note: This itinerary refers
to the Oberoi Philae and the Oberoi Shehrazad. The order of
the itinerary, sightseeing schedules and days of operation
are subject to change without prior notice. Due to closure
of the Esna lock during the months of June or July and December,
the itinerary is subject to change. The new itinerary will
be advised at the time of booking. The cruise can be undertaken
