Day 1: Arrive at Beirut International Airport and
transfer to
your hotel. Overnight in Beirut.
Day 2: After visiting the downtown
to see the city’s largest reconstruction project, where
new commercial and residential districts are shaping 21st
century Beirut, drive 20 kilometres along the highway north
of the city to the astounding natural wonders of Jeita’s
magnificent caverns. A cable car lifts you to the caves’
two galleries, the lower being explored by boat and the higher
on foot.
In the evening revel in the
intriguing atmosphere of one of Lebanon’s most popular
restaurant/nightclubs, where you will enjoy a superb meal
while watching a belly dancer performing
in harmony with traditional Lebanese music. Overnight in Beirut.
Day 3: Drive through the magnificent
scenery of the Mount Lebanon range and across the Beqaa plains
to Baalbeck, Lebanon’s greatest Roman treasure and counted
among the wonders of the ancient world, before visiting Ksara
Caves for wine tasting (the winery is closed on Sunday). Overnight
in Beirut.
Day 4: Located north of Beirut,
Byblos is an enchanting, peaceful town of great antiquity
– with a history dating back over more than seven millennia,
this is one of the world’s oldest, continuously inhabited
communities. After exploring Byblos, you drive along the spectacular
coast road to the attractive town of Jounieh, before returning
to the capital. Overnight in Beirut.
Day 5: There is time for shopping
or sightseeing before transferring to Beirut International
Airport for your flight home.
