addition to nearly a kilometre long private beach, you
have unmatched views and shaded areas within the lush
Resort gardens. Food and beverage are served at the many
pool and beach bars throughout the day.

of water sports. While water skiing and banana boat rides
plays on the excitement of speed in the water, windsurfing,
laser and catamaran vessels allow you to test your steering

Joumana offers a variety of leisure and recreational facilities.
A separate centre for shooting and sport excellence is
located just three kilometres from the Resort. With its
own Stables and paddock the Resort also offers professional
private lessons for beginners and excursions for experienced
riders. Four or eight hour deep-sea fishing trips into
the Arabian Gulf depart from the Resort’s private
marina.

The
impressive fortress style architecture as you first enter,
makes the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club an imposing
sight from the very start. This indoor and outdoor shooting
academy, built to exacting international safety standards,
makes the exciting sport of recreational and competitive
shooting easily accessible to all.

Archery range
Academy
Professional coaching, including all shooting equipment
is offered at the Jebel Ali Shooting Academy, for both
individuals and groups. The instructors introduce aspiring
shooters by covering the basic safety rules of shooting
safety and gun handling.
Disciplines
The five outdoor floodlit clay-shooting ranges are equipped
to cater for all seven clay-shooting disciplines including
Olympic Skeet and Trapshooting. In trapshooting, contestants
fire their twelve-gauge shotguns at the moving targets
from a series of five positions called ‘stations’,
located 15 meters behind the trap. Skeet shooting offers
a greater number of shooting angles, with two traps, located
36.58 metres apart, releasing the clay targets alternately
or simultaneously along fixed intersecting paths.
Archery
The club also has a 5,000 square metre soft sand archery
range, allowing as many as 12 participants to safely enjoy
archery at the same time.
Restaurant
& Meeting Room
The Jebel Ali International Shooting Club is also home
to the Shooters Restaurant and the Arabic-themed Nad Al
Sheba Meeting Room which can be used for private functions,
corporate meetings and incentive conferences.

Jebel
Ali International Shooting Club meets the demand
The Shooting Club is now open and for the first time during
August due to the popular demand. New timings for operation
will be valid from 1st June till 12th October where doors
will be open from 3pm till 12am from Wednesday to Monday.
The
Pistol Range is back!
The pistol range at the Jebel Ali International Shooting
Club is back as a sophisticated venue for recreational
and competition shooting on a par with the best facilities
in the world. It is a fully air conditioned, 25-metre,
5 lane pistol range padded with bullet proof panels and
ensuring safety as its priority. The pistol range is fully
controlled from a central computer which automatically
positions targets at distances from three to 27 metres.
The contestants fire small calibre revolvers and automatic
pistols at the familiar square target in attempts to place
a series of rounds inside the “bull’s eye”.
The targets may be controlled by the shooter or by the
computer assistant. A complete range of competition semi-automatic
pistols and revolvers of different calibres are provided,
from 0.22, 0.32, 0.38 to 9mm; air pistols can also be
used. The pistol range is open from 3pm till 12am from
Wednesday to Monday during September.
Horse
Riding
The
Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is the only Resort in
Dubai which has its own air-conditioned stables. The Resort
features its own spacious paddock where riding tuition
under the guidance of qualified riding instructors is
given.
Its
location close to the Resort’s main entrance makes
this facility easily accessible to all resident guests
and visitors. The stable building is flanked by a vast
paddock approximately 70 metres by 40 metres in size.
Landscaped gardens encompassing palm trees, grass and
desert shrubs surround the picturesque site and in addition
beautiful viewing areas under thatched gazebos are available
for guests.
The
Stables offer tuition in a fully equipped schooling environment
for beginners or for those who haven’t been riding
for while. Regular riders who are trained in all paces
of the horse can enjoy the natural desert surroundings
of the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa by experiencing
the outdoor rides.
Hard
hats and half chaps are provided free of charge for the
duration of your lesson or outdoor ride. For the comfort
of guests, long trousers and flat shoes with a small heel
should be worn.
The
Stables operate from 7am to 12 noon, and again from 4pm
to 7pm. Please note the Stables are closed on Mondays
(animal rest day) and during the summer months from June
to September.
During
summer period Horse Riding will be from 0600hrs to 0800hrs
and from 1700hrs to 1900hrs.
