Separated
from Bur Dubai by the Dubai Creek, Deira is the business
and commercial heart of Dubai and offers some of the
best shopping. Deira is also close to the historic
quarter of Dubai, Bastakia, with its traditional wind-tower
houses and narrow streets and the area is also well
known for its fascinating souks. Ban Yas Square is
the centre of Deira and is dominated by the Deira
Tower with its many clothes and electrical shops.

from Dubai International Airport to the Hotel
From Dubai International Airport follow the signs
for Deira, go straight over the clock roundabout,
heading towards Al Maktoum Street, then take the first
right and continue until you reach a 'T' junction.
Turn right and follow the road round to the left,
then take the first right, drive approximately 300
metres and you will see the Metropolitan Hotel Deira
on the right. The hotel has a basement car park.
