Khatt Springs
Located to the west of Ras Al Khaimah’s majestic mountain ranges, this oasis is famed for its hot springs of sulphuric water having relaxing and therapeutic properties.

The Khatt Springs consists of three natural springs about 40 degree centigrade hot and widely considered to have medicinal and curative properties. Framed by lofty mountains and encircled by palm trees, which add to the beauty and charm of the place, The Khatt Springs have become a lovely tourist attraction in the whole of UAE.

The area was already popular in the past as reflected in the presence of large number of archaeological sites of all periods. Almost 170 sites, ranging from stone tools to nineteenth century mud brick fortification towers, were discovered during a survey conducted in 1992.

A large number of prehistoric tombs were identified and Khatt has given its name to a particular type of large, oval tomb of second millennium BC which was first observed in the area.

Parks and Gardens
Saqr Public Park is located in the Suheelah area. It has a vast expanse of greenery and houses gaming facilities for the whole family. Located in Khuzam, the Khuzam Park also has games and entertainment facilities for children with electronic games, a snooker table as well as a cafeteria.

National RAK Museum
The RAK National Museum is in the heart of the city, opening up a rich tapestry of this Emirate’s past.

It was created in 1987 and established in the Al Husen Fort, the residence of the Sheikh of Ras Al Khaimah way back in the early 19th century.

The museum is divided into many sections. One of the most interesting sections is the Al Qawasim Room which is situated upstairs. It contains historical manuscripts and documents as well as the arms that belonged to the ruling family. It also displays the treaties signed by the ruling family and the British government. The other main section is the one set aside for antiques discovered from all over the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Many of these monuments and antiques date back to the 5th Millennium BC and some belong to the early Islamic Era.
