Situated adjoining The Lakes Cairns Resort & Spa is the magnificent Botanical Gardens and Centenary Lakes, offering an extensive natural experience, including exceptional boardwalks, botanical gardens and rainforest walks.
Visitors to the gardens will encounter amazing tropical fruit trees, saltwater and mangroves systems, pandanus and low land rainforest including the immense Melaleuca trees, a water lily covered freshwater lake with fish, tortoise and a huge variety of bird life including pelicans, ibis, various wading birds, and Australia’s famous kookaburras.
