Ridge Resort is located on the Island of Yap, an unspoiled Micronesian
island where you can enjoy world-class scuba diving and a host of
environmentally friendly activities.
This intimate retreat of 20 rooms and 2 Grand Suites is styled in
unique 1880's Victorian architecture offering all the amenities
of a 5 Star Hotel.
Each room has its own personal room steward to see to your every
need and attention to detail is our trademark. From the moment you
enter our spacious lobby, the warm and friendly atmosphere of Traders´
Ridge makes you feel the resort is your home. |

Our
spacious rooms are accented by hand crafted furniture and
original artworks from the Ethnic Art Institute of Micronesia.
They have air conditioning, a ceiling fan, mini bar, TV/VCR,
IDD telephone, hardwood floors and French doors that open
onto a patio or veranda. All of our rooms have the same basic
floor plan and differ by location.
We have 6 Patio rooms located on the ground floor that open
onto a private patio surrounded by a garden and hedge. Our
6 Veranda Ridge rooms are located on the second floor with
a veranda overlooking the quiet lane on which the Resort is
located along with a tropical view.
The 8 Veranda Ocean rooms are located on the first and second
floors overlooking the swimming pool with breathtaking views
of Chamarro Bay and the ocean. |

Our
2 Grand Suites with almost 800 square feet of living space set
a new standard for luxury in Micronesia. Set on the first and
second floors they are truly the best Micronesia has to offer.
Hand crafted furniture and original artwork accent the hardwood
floors providing a warm and luxurious atmosphere. The suites
include two bathrooms, wet bar, living room, bedroom and dressing
area. With large verandas and sweeping views of Chamarro Bay
they take you back into the elegance and grace of Yap's Victorian
colonial era. |

Lush gardens surround the Resort creating a perfect tropical
setting for your enjoyment. Here you can relax after a day
of diving or cool off in Yap's only freshwater swimming pool.
Our Victorian garden surrounding the main veranda is a perfect
setting for a wedding or reception.
Traders' Ridge Resort offers Yap's only personal PADI Intro
to SCUBA courses taught in the resort's pool. After completing
this course our experienced dive masters will guide you to
the Valley of the Mantas' for the experience of a lifetime.
We also offer Water Aerobics classes to tan up while you tone
up. |
DININGS & BARS: The
Veranda View Restaurant offers fine dining with an island
flare. An intimate ambiance is created with soft lighting
and lazy ceiling fans stirring the richly scented tropical
air as our chefs create your favorite gourmet delights with
their own personal touch.
Try our Mangrove Crab Cakes or Sweet Potato and Wild Mushroom
Ravioli finished with a local Pumpkin Crème Brule.
Our fresh seafood makes dining a healthy delight.
Try
the Pool side Cafe and Bar, if you are just looking for something
casual and fun. You can enjoy the only fish tacos on Yap,
an antipasto with imported cheeses, grilled vegetables, proscuitto
ham and crusty French bread, or just a great Hamburger! You
will be able to compliment any of your food desires with our
fully stocked bar and specialty drinks, including our cultural
libations featuring a hand crafted betel nut martini made
table-side. |
