THE AACHEN HOUSE is not so much a hotel, but a showcase for the personality and love of beautiful things that is the very makeup of its owners, Joan and Greg McKirdy. A hotel with a sense of space and openness, with its large rooms, lofty ceilings, conservatory, gazebo, roaring fireplaces and above all a sense of timeless elegance.
The hotel recently celebrated the 100th birthday of the building, quite a milestone in this young country. This was followed by a huge celebration of being the winner of the World Travel Awards “Leading Boutique Hotel in Australasia”, then last year a celebration of 10 years of operation as a luxury boutique hotel |

GARDENIA ROOM this room offers a King size bed and overlooks the garden from the feature bay window. Large en suite bathroom with shower.
ROSE AND FUSCHIA with King size twin beds and Rose room features French doors opening to a secluded patio, while Fuschia room on the first floor includes a roomy balcony elevated above the garden which provides the perfect place to relax at the end of a satisfying day. Both rooms have large, well appointed bathrooms.
BLUE & LILAC ROOMS with their magnificent bay windows overlooking the gardens and a Super King, hand carved mahogony bed in the French style. The ensuite bathrooms are superb and feature modern fittings with hairdryers, shaving points, toiletries, quality bathrobes.
