ACCOMMODATION
The Godley Resort Hotel has 80 comfortable rooms including Family and Studio Units and of course, rooms with unbeatable lake and mountain views.
All guest rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped for your convenience with tea and coffee facilities, electric blankets, heating, hairdryers and colour television, with complimentary in house videos. We have two rooms specifically for the mobility impaired, and for the larger family group, interconnecting rooms are available.
LAKEVIEW ROOMS
Our lake view rooms are both comfortable and tastefully decorated, but who is going to be looking at the décor with views like this. What a view to wake up to. Throw open the ranch slider to let the view in or to sit outside, while the sun sets over the distant snow capped mountains, reflecting in the turquoise lake. All rooms contain hairdryers, iron and ironing board, with ensuite with a shower over a bath tub.
STANDARD ROOMS
Our standard rooms are warm and comfortable with a double and single bed. There is a TV to keep you informed and entertained, coffee and tea making facilities and a private en suite bathroom.
BUDGET ROOMS
Why not request one of our budget pool side rooms for easy access to a quick dip in summer time. Restaurant
Our restaurant has floor to ceiling glass so you can gaze out past the Church of the Good Shepard, the lake and mountains beyond. A seasonal buffet and a la carte menu is available featuring fresh local produce and dishes.
Bar
Grab a pre or post dinner drink from our quaint cocktail bar and relax in a comfortable chair in the spacious lounge. For the perfect après ski relaxation, a mulled wine by the fire in the winter could be just the ticket.

Tekapo is a perfect place to bring your group for an escape from the hustle and bustle of busy corporate life. Relaxed, refreshed, and revitalised by the views and fresh mountain air, it will be easy for you and your team to focus on the tasks at hand.

OTHER GUEST FACILITIES
The Godley Resort has a variety of facilities for you to use at your disposal.
Use the spa pool to revive your aching muscles and bones after a hard day exploring the regions delights. There is an outdoor swimming pool - summer only of course, a well equipped gymnasium - to keep you in tip top shape, and an indoor child play area with TV and video to help you through a rainy day, should we have one. There is also a pool table in the lounge, or feel free to read a book in an armchair by the fire.

LOCATION
Being 2.5 hrs from either direction, Lake Tekapo is well positioned midway between Christchurch and Queenstown making it easy to get there and a great way to break up your journey. Lake Tekapo is also easily accessible from both Dunedin or Timaru.
It is only 60 mins to Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, and less than half and hour to the nearest ski slopes at Round Hill Ski Field.
From Christchurch
Drive south on State Highway 1 to Rangitata and turn right to Geraldine – 1.5 to 2 hours. Continue for 30 minutes to the pretty country town of Fairlie where you'll turn right onto State Highway 8 and through the beautiful Mackenzie Country, to the picturesque Lakes of Tekapo - 30 to 40 minutes.
For a safe and enjoyable journey with a break along the way allow 3 hours.
From Queenstown
Drive north on State Highway 6 past Cromwell - about 45 minutes.
Turn onto State Highway 8 and continue north through Tarras and over the Lindis Pass. Continue on through Omarama and Twizel, past the tranquil shores of Lake Pukaki to Lake Tekapo - 2 hours
