HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
TE MARORO RESTAURANT serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and is located beside the hotel lobby. We provide an excellent range of seasonal dishes that reflect a fusion of local and international cuisine. Te Maroro is the Maori word for “flying fish” that was chosen to complement the fish sculptures on display in the restaurant by New Zealand artist, Rex Homan.
Executive Chef, Simon Turner, and his team take great pride in creating seasonal menus sure to satisfy the most demanding diner. A selection of fine New Zealand and international wines are available on their wine list to compliment your meal. Their restaurant has attracted several culinary awards and is well patronized by their guests.
ROOM SERVICE Guests may order food from the restaurant menu and the snack menu for room service meals. In-room breakfast can also be ordered.
INDABA LOUNGE BAR Indaba is an African word that means a gathering of people and the lounge-bar is exactly the place for this to occur. Comfortable lounge seating overlooking a green lawn or the pool area is an invitation to relax with a drink and something from the snack menu. Guests can view examples of art from the Ndebele Tribe of South Africa who use bright colours, intricate beadwork, and geometric patterns to adorn themselves and their homes.
SWIMMING POOL Their tepid swimming pool is set into a tropical palm garden and is open from 7am to 10:30pm. If you fancy a walk their grounds are rich with native New Zealand flora.
GYMNASIUM Guests can be transported to a fully equipped gym “Flying Fit Health Club”, located 5 minutes away. All transport and gym passes are free of charge.
GIFT SHOP An interesting selection of artefacts, jewellery, and art is on sale in the lobby gift shop. Chemist items are available at reception.
