HOTEL DESCRIPTION

The Bluewater Island Resort is located at about 15 kilometres from Port Vila, at the mouth of the Rentapao River. This resort extends over 40 hectares of tropical gardens dotted with dwarf coconut palms and multi-colored bougainvillea, with a private island on the edge of the lagoon. At present it has 50 bungalows divided into 3 categories, over the water with view to the lagoon, over the water with view to the river and view over the gardens.

ACCOMMODATION

Accomodation Bluewater Island Resort has 50 bungalows in total, these include:

* Lagoon View Bungalows (20)

* Lagoon View Family Rooms (4)

* River View Bungalows (8)

* Garden View Bungalows (18)

Each room is configured with 1 double bed and 1 Single except for the Lagoon View Family Bungalow which has 1 double bed and 2 singles. Room amenities include: ceiling fans, coffee and tea making facilities, balcony or patio with furniture, ensuite bathrooms, mini fridges. The Lagoon View Family Rooms are air-conditioned rooms, all others have ceiling fans.

HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES

Conference Hall
Boasting one of the biggest conference halls in Vanuatu, bluewater island resort can cater for large conferences or seminars right down to intimate christmas parties. Simply let us know your requirements and we will cater to your needs.

Reception
Reception is the central hub of the resort offering all types of activities and tours. If you have any enquiries regarding bluewater island, contact reception at your earliest convenience.

Restaurant
Featuring the 'Rentapao deck' (al fresco dining), nehine seafood restaurant and ocean view room built right on the ocean. Open from 7am till 8:30pm or times requested.

Transport Bus
Every hour on the half hour, a free bus to transport you into Port Vila! Every hour on the hour a bus is able to bring you back! First bus departs at 8:00am on weekdays and ends at 5pm. On Sunday the first bus departs 9:00am and operates on every second hour after that, last departing bus on Sunday is 5pm. On cruise ship days, bus service is continuous.

Bar
Located within the nehine restaurant, an extensive wine list and fully stocked bar are sure to satisfy your drinking requests.

Mini Supermarket
Widely stocked with the essentials of life including soft drinks, tin goods, lollies, chocolates, biscuits, personal items.

Weddings

Bluewater island offers unique pacific island weddings complete with warrior escort, live pacific music, waiters in pacific costume. The venue is the largest tradionitally built nakamal (house) Seating five hundred and standing two thousand two hundred. For smaller numbers wanting to use the large nakamal, we fill the nakamal with vegetation canoes fishing nets, sand on the floor or even lace and fabric hangings. The nakamal can be dressed to suit any and every taste.

50 waterfront and garden view bungalows
Bluewater island has refurbished the fifty bungalows ranging from family to single rooms set along the forshore and garden areas of the resort. The bungalows are now going through a major refurbishment and structure remodelling to suit the modern lifestyle expected from a major resort.

Backpacker Accomodation
Set amongst the tropical gardens of bluewater, the twenty five backpacker units all have double bunk beds and general facilities and are serviced by two amenities blocks one at each end of the building. the units are on ground floor with a view of the lagoon through the palm trees.
